O Encontro de Formação de Professoras/es de Línguas (ENFOPLE) é promovido pelo Grupo de Pesquisas em Formação de Professoras/es de Línguas (GEFOPLE/CNPq), pelo curso de Letras da UEG-Inhumas e pelo Programa de Pós-Graduação Stricto Sensu em Língua, Literatura e Interculturalidade (POSLLI/UEG). Ao longo dos seus 21 anos, o ENFOPLE tem reunido professoras/es, pesquisadoras/es e acadêmicas/os de diferentes escolas e universidades do Brasil e de outros países, consolidando-se como um dos eventos mais importantes para a área de formação de professoras/es de línguas.
Nesta 21ª edição, com o tema PESQUISAS EM EDUCAÇÃO LINGUÍSTICA: EM BUSCA DE HORIZONTES METODOLÓGICOS OUTROS, o evento pretende promover problematizações que coloquem sob questão os modos de fazer pesquisa na área de formação docente e educação linguística, convidando-nos ao desafio de empreender movimentos ontoepistemológicos alternativos. Para tanto, o evento busca inspiração em perspectivas críticas, decoloniais e suleadas, que buscam confrontar a visão hegemônica e puramente racional do pensamento científico moderno/colonial e/ou do Norte Global.
Suscitar esse debate crítico sobre pesquisa em um evento acadêmico-científico mostra-se deveras ousado. No entanto, é, ao mesmo tempo, premente a luta por modos de fazer pesquisa que, para além de uma agenda científica per si, sejam comprometidos com dimensões outras da vida, mais justas e coletivas.
The ENFOPLE, a Language Teacher Education Meeting, is organized by the Research Group on Language Teacher Education (GEFOPLE/CNPq); the Letras (Languages and Literatures) Undergraduation Course at UEG-Inhumas; and the Graduate Program in Language, Literature, and Interculturality (POSLLI/UEG).
Throughout its 21 years, ENFOPLE has brought together teachers, researchers, and students from different schools and universities in Brazil and abroad, establishing itself as one of the most important events in the field of language teacher education.
In its 21st edition, under the theme RESEARCH IN LANGUAGE EDUCATION: TOWARDS METHODOLOGIES OTHERWISE, the event seeks to foster reflections that question traditional modes of conducting research in teacher education and language education. It invites participants to take on the challenge of engaging in alternative onto-epistemological movements. To this end, the event draws inspiration from critical, decolonial, and Global South perspectives, which aim to challenge the hegemonic and purely rational views of modern/colonial scientific thought and those from the Global North.
Encouraging such a critical debate on research within an academic-scientific event is undoubtedly bold. At the same time, however, it is urgent to fight for research approaches that, beyond a scientific agenda per se, are committed to other dimensions of life — more just, collective, and transformative.
