Overview:The DIVAS Study and Research Group – Discourses of Diversity in Social Contexts (UEG/CNPq) has been active since 2016, bringing together undergraduate and graduate faculty and students from the State University of Goiás, as well as members from other higher education institutions in an inter-institutional collaboration. The group’s aim is to discuss, from inter- and transdisciplinary perspectives, topics related to language, diversity, and social difference, promoting critical and ongoing teacher education. The studies are guided by approaches in Critical Applied Linguistics and Queer Linguistics, seeking to build ethical and political practices of resistance and social transformation.

LECCE Research Group – Literacies, Culture, Connectivity, and Education

Overview: The LECCE Research Group – Literacies, Culture, Connectivity, and Education, registered with the CNPq Research Groups Directory, focuses on developing interdisciplinary studies in the fields of language, culture, technology, and education. Rooted in contemporary cultural transformations, the group pays special attention to digital culture and the use of technologies within educational contexts. LECCE adopts a collaborative perspective, bringing together researchers interested in literacies and their interfaces with connectivity across diverse educational settings. Its aim is to foster new research and broaden the theoretical and methodological horizons in the field

GEPEDI – Study and Research Group on Education, Diversity, and Inclusion

Overview: Founded in 2015, GEPEDI conducts studies and research in education with a focus on diversity, teacher education, inclusion, and social justice. The group adopts an ethical, intercultural, and critical perspective to reflect on individual and collective responsibilities in building democratic education committed to human rights. Topics include inclusive schooling, special education, ethnic-racial, gender, and religious issues, sexual orientation, combating violence, among others. In addition to research, GEPEDI is involved in teaching, outreach, and continuing education activities, fostering spaces for dialogue and academic collaboration.

Integra Study Group – Critical Language Education and Teacher Education

Overview: The Integra Study Group brings together researchers interested in critical perspectives on language education and its intersections with teacher education, digital literacies, and language teaching. Its primary objective is to strengthen both theoretical and practical discussions on teacher education, promoting initiatives that contribute to the development of reflective and socially engaged pedagogical practices. Open to the UEG academic community as well as external participants, the group encourages scientific output and fosters the exchange of ongoing research projects through the promotion of publications, events, and other forms of academic engagement

GPEFORP Research Group – Educational Policies and Teacher Education

Overview: GPEFORP brings together teachers from basic education, faculty from higher education institutions, and UEG itself to discuss educational public policies and teacher education. With an interdisciplinary approach, the group seeks to promote dialogue between researchers and undergraduate and graduate students, strengthening the research, teaching, and outreach dimensions of the university. Its mission is to contribute to the formulation of educational practices and policies committed to equity and the quality of public education.
